Emma Richards has been selected as one of ten finalists for the Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Award.

Crossing the finishing line in May, Emma followed in the footsteps of Ellen MacArthur, by sailing over 30,000 miles in the Around Alone yacht race, and finished fourth overall. In doing so she became the first British woman and youngest ever competitor to complete the longest race for any individual in any sport.
