A total of 10 boats took part in the four-day RS Elite series for the Karen Paddison Memorial Trophy and the RCYC Easter regatta this weekend.

After a winter of hibernation the first race was as much an exercise in re-learning sailing skills however, the the racing was always close and thrilling.

There were three different winners over the series but, as is so often the case, consistency won the day and the regatta. Both trophies were won by Stephen Herring helming No Riff Raff owned and crewed by Guy Trench with David Warren as a rare silent partner, still on the ski slopes! Second overall was Ian Ratnage with family and friends Kiss My RS. Third overall was Tuppence helmed by joint owners Alan Gardner and John Hooper with their families.
