The Nessie Hibernation Series on the Caledonian Canal starts this weekend
The Nessie Hibernation Series, the first ever winter race series on The Caledonian Canal, will get off to a flying start this weekend with the first of eight races. The event is hosted by British Waterways Scotland, run by North of Scotland Yachting Association (NSYA), and the entry fee of ‘100 includes all racing, berthing for the duration at Seaport Marina and full social programme.
The first event of its kind on Scotland’s inland waterways, the series comprises eight races taking place over eight weekends in two time periods – from 26 October to 17 November 2002 and from 22 February to 16 March 2003. British Waterways will provide prizes to the race winners.
