The Swedish VOR yacht SEB is back on the water with her new mast and now has just five days to tune up before the start of the fifth leg of of the VOR from Rio. Shore teams and crew have had their work cut out since the boat arrived from Chile repairing the damage to the hull that occurred when the rig was lost overboard on the previous leg and stepping the new mast.
Gurra Krantz (Skipper) commented: “It feels good having a whole boat and mast again and we are longing for the start now. It has been a major operation getting the boat and the new mast to Rio. The whole Team SEB has done a tremendous job to make the boat go in the water a full day ahead of schedule.”
