Japenese sailor Kojiro Shiraishi has secured second place on the second leg of the Velux 5-Oceans Race sailing an older generation fixed keel Open 60.

Shiraishi, who was competing for the first time in the Open 60 class, crossed the Norfolk finish line in USA aboard Spirit of Yukoh at 1248 (UTC) today – 15 days behind race leader Bernard Stamm.
