Visit one of the Clipper yachts in London to celebrate the Clipper race's tenth anniversary 4/9/06
The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race will celebrate its tenth anniversary on Friday 15 September, ten years and five races after the first fleet yachts set sail from Plymouth a decade ago.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, one of the ten 68ft Clippers that has just completed the 05-06 Race last month will sail from its mooring in Gosport on the south coast, to berth in St Katharine’s Dock, London.
Londoners are invited to come down to visit the boat to get a taste of life on board an ocean racing yacht and the Clipper Race team will be on hand to snap up people with an adventurous spirit to crew on the 07-08 Race.
The highlight of the celebrations will be a party on board HMS Belfast with guests attending from each of the five Clipper Races.
