Topper International has, at long last, produced a race pack for the successful Topper dinghy, which should transform the performance of the boat.

Anyone who’s ever raced a Topper dinghy in a breeze will know that once the rig’s been set up, the control lines are difficult to adjust. The new worlds race pack, designed by Dave Cockerill and the current Topper world champion, costs £179.95 and is easy to fit on any Topper dinghy to transform it in to a top class racer.

The pack includes a 3:1 cunningham, 4:1 outhaul, 3:1 kicking strap and an auto ratchet for the mainsheet. All ropes on the fittings are Spectra and the mainsheet is Rooster Sailing’s new thin, lightweight, non-twist rope. The original v-cleat fitting for the outhaul situated on the boom is replaced with a clam cleat making it very easy to adjust while racing.
