Organisers of the Tour Voile have announced that the race from St. Nazaire to St Denis d’Oleron has been cancelled due to a lack of wind. At 0800 local time today the leading boat was still fourty miles away from the finish and the sea was flat calm and the air was still.
The fleet of 38 Mumm 30s are now motoring to Oleron and should arrive at about 1500 local time today.
