The young crew aboard last years’ Skandia Courage, Hunter Sonata ‘Argo’ will be at Skandia Cowes Week next week to improve on last year’s performance.

With an average age of 18.5 years (all under 21 years old) Charlie Russell and team have their sights firmly set on putting into practice everything they learnt from Ian Percy and the Skandia Squad last year.

Commenting on their benefit of the Skandia Squad Russell, skipper, aged 20 said: “We really valued the advice we received last year being part of the Skandia Squad and have worked hard on the areas where we were weak. We are looking forward to a great week of good sailing and of course the occasional party!”

Since competing as part of the Skandia Squad at Cowes Week last year the Argo team finished second at the Sonata Southern Championship and 11th out of 32 in a very competitive IRC fleet at the recently-held Cork Week.
