A summary of how the Brits got on today and how they lie overall
Two more medals make a total of three to the British so far and the first day out for the Tornado and Star
Finn – Gold
Ben Ainslie – Not the best position he’s posted this week at 14th, but easily good enough to secure his second gold medal making him the most successful British Olympic sailor along side Rodney Pattisson, who also scored a silver and two golds.
470 Men – Silver medal
Nick Rogers and Jo Glanfield – Clearly very relieved to have come away with a medal after their disappointment in Sydney. A welld eserved achievement, albeit rounded off with a rather strange race that saw them sailed out of the back of the fleet.
470 Women – 7th overall
Christina Bassadone and Katherine Hopson – A 7th today and a 7th overall proves that this pair are capable of getting close to the medal zone. A good week with some impressive results often in the top five.

Leigh McMillan & Mark Buckeley – First day out and an 8th and 14th in the bag
