Music festivals, regattas, cricket and carnivals - there's so much to do in a Caribbean season.
Head south for May
If heading south for hurricane season, the early-May St Lucia Jazz Festival (2010 dates to be announced), long regarded as one of the Caribbean’s best, is a must. Anchor right off the spectacular open-air Pigeon Island venue, or take a slip at nearby Rodney Bay Marina.
On 13-14 May St Lucia will be hosting the men’s semi-finals of the International Cricket Council’s World Twenty20 Tournament. The finals will be played in Barbados on 16 May – a challenging 90-mile sail to windward for hard-core cricket fans.
It’s June all too soon and there are lots more Caribbean events you didn’t make this time. Want to stay over?
